Znojmo Wine Festival

The Znojmo Historic Vintage is one of the largest wine festivals in the Czech Republic. It takes place every year in mid-September and brings tens of thousands of visitors to the historic centre.

Programme

The highlight is the historic procession of King John of Luxembourg and Queen Elisabeth Richza, accompanied by fencers, jugglers and period music. Concert stages, a crafts market and stalls with wine and regional specialities fill the whole town.

Tradition

The festivities commemorate the year 1327, when King John of Luxembourg visited Znojmo. The event is organised by Znojemská Beseda.
